This was one of my first DIY projects. I collected pictures of Cliff and I from various ages and used iMovie to string them all together. We used a few versions of "You're just too good to be true" for the entire thing and it's about 7-8 minutes long. I'm still looking for some pictures of Cliff from his teenage years to plug in - so hopefully someone will come forth with pictures to help me finish it.

iMovie is VERY easy to use and I would encourage anyone that has a MAC or knows someone with one, to try it. I'm not sure how much it would cost to have one of these made, but it was rewarding for me because I got to talk with Cliff about all of the photos we included and we learned a lot about each other and our childhoods.

Will you be my bridesmaid? (not really a DIY)

I ordered 8x8 photobooks from Shutterfly.com, (using a coupon, of course!) and personalized them with pictures of each bridesmaid and myself throughout the years of our friendship. It was A LOT of fun and hysterical to go through the books with each of them since I have known each of my girls at least 8 years and others for 12 and 20 years! I put a couple of friendship quotes and little sayings and private jokes we have shared and ended with a little poem about the importance of having them by my side that day.

Card Box

For the lettering, I bought a package of glittered cut-out and self stick scrapbooking letters from Michaels. I thought I would like "Thank you" or "Thanks" on the front, but I hated it. I've taken it off and replaced that space with some pink and orange flowers. I bought ribbon lace, pink ribbon, and stringed rope with pearls to hot glue on the box for decor. The rhinestones are self adhesive. I got the actual boxes already in my colors from Bath and Body Works. I cut the bottom off of the top two and the hole for cards with a box cutter. The bottom box has a flap on the bottom so the box will still be intact when the day is through. I guess I'll see if anyone wants to buy it when all is said and done. Everything is easily removable. All it needs is a bow for the top.

Escort Cards

I really love this idea: http://januarybride.googlepages.com/diy
But for our favors we are doing a photobooth and needed some way to give the guests their frames. The strips are 5x7 and will have a logo/monogram along the side. So we're going to put the escort cards inside the frames for them to take into the reception where they'll take and receive their pictures.

Mrs. Hoodie

What you need:
Hot fix rhinestones (I got 720, and had PLENTY left over).
Mylar paper
Your shirt of choice
Your iron!

So simple, I'm glad I did it last minute. I got the rhinestones that were 10ss but I'm sure you can use bigger ones too. I picked just silver but they come in all sorts of colors. I printed out the text I wanted and measured against the hoodie. Then I reversed the image in Photoshop and printed again. I put the text under the mylar paper and used tweezers to put the rhinestones on with the shiny side down. Once I had traced it all, I just flipped it over and stuck it to the shirt and used my regular iron to make them stick. I then flipped the shirt over and ironed the inside to make sure that the crystals were on good. Make sure you let the rhinestones cool before removing the paper so that they can settle in completely
